Clark & Tom are just getting started on the construction of a brand new fabrication facility in Iron Station North Carolina. When our building is complete, we will be a full service hot rod fabrication and installation shop. With 6000 square feet of space to attend to our customers requests, we will be primarily focused on the manipiulation of steel, aluminum and stainless steel to manufacture the custom pieces for hot rod or race car use.
With a combined 50+ years of involvement in drag racing, stock & drag car fabrication, Tom and Clark are prepared to bring new ideas to the automotive fabrication market. Our intent is to purchase a CNC vertical maching center and a lathe to supplement the many tools already available in our "hobby" shop location.
The image shown below is some of Tom's work on a Monte Carlo ARCA super speedway car. This is a good example of the kind of craftsmanship that goes into these cars. There is nothing stock about them. This does fit the templates specified by ARCA. The red car behind Tom at the top of the page is another of his works of art. It started out as a V6 powered Goodies Dash Series Pontiac Sunfire. The track of the car widened about 10 inches from the NASCAR rules. In order for the tires to be covered, the fenders were completing refashioned. Working with steel, aluminum and Bondo, the shapes were created. Then molds were taken off each of the pieces and sets of fenders made from fiberglass. This allowed multiple identical sets to be produced, in case of a wreck. These were even molded with red gel coat to match the paint on the car. If a change was made at the track, the new part would look as if it belonged. there is a second car similar to this one, except it is powered with a V8. It is scary fast!
